GRS Third-Hands make precise soldering easy by holding parts in the exact position you want. With unequaled flexibility, these Third-Hands can twist, rotate and bend in all directions. GRS Soldering Stations combine Third-Hands with durable non-asbestos solder boards. These convenient packages help reduce bench clutter and speed up your soldering jobs. Sits on a bench or fits BenchMate fixed mounting plate. This board can be safely used at temperatures of 600°F (316°C) or less for soldering purposes. When brazing, this board should only be used indirectly and / or in use with GRS Third-Hands. For filler metals (solder) that melt below 840ºF, the process is called soldering. For filler metals that melt above 840ºF, the process is called brazing. This board should not be used with direct heat that exceeds the maximum operating temperature. Max operating temp: 600°F (316°C). For higher temperature work up to a maximum of 3200°F (1760°C), please use the High-Temp Soldering Platform (#004-691) and the High-Temp Tungsten Jaw Points (#004-097TUNG).
